About Community Builders Council<\/b>

Community Builders Council (CBC) is a grass root community organization advocating for\u00a0 issues it believes are essential for building community strength and wellbeing.<\/b><\/p>\n

CBC\u2019s main focus is on the following seven areas of personal and interpersonal living:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
1.Faith<\/div>\n
2. Family<\/div>\n
3. Finance<\/div>\n
4. Education<\/div>\n
5. Civic Engagement<\/div>\n
6. Health\u00a0Promotion<\/div>\n
7. Culture<\/div>\n

Programming includes open mike discussions on these and other topics which are open to the public. There is\u00a0presently one\u00a0location where monthly forums are held: Northwest Suburban College, 5999 S. New Wilkie Rd, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008 ( Bldg 400)<\/div>\n

CBC believes that for a community to grow in strength and capacity a balanced and holistic approach is needed involving\u00a0 all seven areas outlined above. Towards this end CBC organizes its programs which include forums, workshops and career mentoring opportunities for high school and college students…<\/div>\n
CBC realizes that knowledge is power and education is a lifelong process. Hence education does not have to end with school or college but needs to continue \u00a0thru all stages of our lives. By establishing\u00a0 various physical and electronic channels of communication\u00a0 CBC\u00a0 works to serve\u00a0 the educational needs of its community members.CBC\u00a0 further\u00a0 believes\u00a0 that\u00a0 human beings can only reach their fullest potential through meeting and interacting with others and that\u00a0 networking is a skill to be learnt and practiced in order to be fully realized. Providing regular opportunities for networking is another important aspect of CBC\u2019s work and programs. Empowering people through education and networking, hence remains CBC\u2019s core mission.<\/div>\n
